Preview 30th Annual Wes Dixon Memorial

Father's Day weekend is always a special few days for the folks at Pine Crest as they play the annual Wes Dixon Memorial Golf Tournament. It's considered the 2nd "Major" on the Peterborough men's invitational circuit. The tournament is a tribute to Mr. Dixon the former owner of Pine Crest who passed away 30 years ago. 

Pine Crest is continues to run as a top notch operation by his two children Jan and Bob Dixon. Best of luck to them this weekend as they continue to improve the tournament every year with help from dedicated staff and volunteers.

On the Links Radio

Today being the 1st day of June we launched our annual On the Links Radio reports presented by Wildfire Golf Club for another year. 

The reports can be heard each Monday, Wednesday and Friday on The Wolf 101.5 FM at 4:35pm. They also air on Kruz FM each morning at 6:50am.

Participating courses so far this year include Pine Crest, Tamarac Golf and Grill, Pine Ridge and Bellemere Winds. Tony's Clubhouse will also be taking part and of course our presenting sponsor Wildfire Golf Club. The most recent episode of On the Links T.V. Presented by Nexicom features the Kawartha Golf and Country Club. Our OTL cameras were over to the classic Stanley Thompson design in Peterborough, Ontario back in April and caught up with long time pro Mark Ahrens.
