Proceeds from this annual tournament support varsity athletes and the creation of Athletic Financial Awards, to assist student athletes with demonstrated financial need and outstanding academic performance. Each donation is matched dollar-for-dollar by the government's Ontario Trust for Student Support (OTSS) program. Last year’s tournament raised an impressive $30,000.
Details of the tournament are as follows:
Date: Thursday, June 16, 2011
Location: Peterborough Golf & Country Club
Time: 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. – Registration & Lunch
1:30 p.m. – Shot Gun Start
6 p.m. – Cocktail reception and dinner at the Great Hall, Trent University
The tournament is open to members of the community and spots are still available. Tournament fees are $200 per golfer (includes green fees, golf cart, beverage ticket, lunch, reception and dinner).
